Update: Now moving into week 4 of the 6.2 patch and I have been getting 2 Oil missions per week on my toon with the port, but averaging 12-15 per week on my 91-99 toons without a port. My advice: Don't even bother with the Iron Docks opening quest until you have 10,000 Oil "in the bank".

Which is all the more apparent by merit of the fact that I have had no one drop of Oil on my main for 2 days as of the time of the post. Obviously, Blizzard has designed/biased the garrison oil missions to favor those who were not "ready to go" on day of release. A week since 6.2 went live and my alts all have about 3,000-5,000 units of Oil each, gotten entirely from garrison missions, while my main has only ever gotten a total of 420 units from garrison missions. Taking your toons to Tanaan for the shipyard buffs will be a major time-sink, but it's an absolute must if you're gonna invest time in the shipyard missions. Going to rest the shipyard for a week (other than building on my treasure missions for the epic shipyard). Now that the raid gear followers are prob not top priority for most of us and the gold nerf I mentioned earlier the Greasemonkey followers are the way to go for altoholics. Mind you, I strictly played the garrison mission game so you may have considerably more to play with.

Update: After one week of oil missions (no greasemonkey trait) across eleven toons I'm averaging (580) oils per toon. Since the Oil Missions hit our garrisons I'm averaging about (80) Oil a day per toon. With gold missions nerfed in 6.2, the next logical trait to take priority on Tuesday follower recruiting is Greasemonkey. Grease Monkey Guide is NOT the same thing as the Greasemonkey trait, so if you've been storing them don't burn em up on your followers.
